These days we hear many people talking about smoothies, which express 'that are good for health', 'very nutritious', 'a wonder for the body', and so many recommendations. But ... Do you really know what a smoothie is?

A smoothie is a fruit or vegetable smoothie that is prepared by mixing ingredients such as ice, ice cream or some dairy product.

Benefits of smoothies
They are very healthy shakes, because their ingredients provide vitamins and minerals that our body needs.

Smoothies also contain fiber and antioxidants, which make them a perfect element for a balanced diet. This food has the virtue of helping to reduce problems related to the aging of the skin.

Would you like to prepare and try one?

If you're new to smoothies and want to try one for the first time, I suggest strawberry and oatmeal smoothie. It is quite simple to elaborate and you only need the following ingredients:

½ Cup of oat flakes.
1 Banana
14 Frozen strawberries.
1 Cup of soy milk
1 ½ Teaspoon of sugar or sweetener to taste.
½ teaspoon vanilla extract.


Once you have all these ingredients, you should only place them inside the blender and process until it is a homogeneous mixture.

If you want your smoothie to be more refreshing, just add a little ice to the glass of the blender and process it along with the rest of the ingredients.

Serve in glasses and if you wish, you can decorate with strawberry. You can accompany your smoothie with cookies in the shape of a tea bag.
